This is a message I received the day before yesterday..'Am a young boy from Africa, South Sudan I have been in success rules page and you're there right' Have no idea what this success rules page is & I doubt I'm listed on it. If success is starting your life, every 7 to 10 years, hitting head on a brick wall κι φτου κι από την αρχή...Well, yeah that's me. Hey, I'm a dumb f##k Bull, chasing the red flag in the world arena from country to country, only to run into a cement wall. How do I help this young lad, who's probably told from his Catholic school in South Sudan, Africa, that he ought to study Business Management & make an honest living & help his siblings out of poverty. Τα ίδια σκατα μου είπε κι ο Σκοπιανος Παπάς εδώ (γι'αυτό δεν ξέρει ελληνικά) in English of course: 'God will provide' Άμα αυτό δεν είναι αμαρτία του κερατά....! And then the so called government officials tell everyone that's on the edge of a cliff: 'you have mental health problems' And most people at least here in Australia are convinced they're sick! I tried explaining to this poor lad, whose young innocence & the bullshit the Catholic School preached, has him eager to live the dream, even I never had the dream, but even worse my Postgraduate ex students, now in their 30's, won't have a life, let alone a career or any job for that matter, meet up with friends, enjoy their families because ήρθαν τα πάνω κάτω - everything is upside down & inside out or more realistically, the shit that was always there is now ruling. Why? Simply, because high intelligence is innocent & sincere, while The Shit is cunning & manipulative, a skill acquired in replacement to intelligence to survive and conquer all. So back to the young lad Anyone know if there are scholarships for online courses I can suggest or help him apply for one? I know in Greece, black Africans study medicine for free & return home to help their communities. All those I had met were fluent in Greek to a higher level than Greeks residing overseas, but have no idea how this program works. I guess its offered by the Greek Ministry of Education & Religion (the irony in the latter scattered around the world) I also know in my yearly group of only 15 for the Masters of Criminology one pupil was a foreigner with neither the background nor the language and had to pass them anyway...not fair of course, to the hundreds of Greek graduates with the highest scores in both their relevant Bachelor's Degree & the entrance exams. = Politics! Will appreciate any information to assist this young lad, somehow. Thanks

IRINAJO"The decisions we make as teenagers, especially concerning our academic pursuits, will go a long way in determining how our future looks like." I graduated from secondary school in 2011, but my determination to attend a prestigious university led me down a path of stubbornness. I wasted several years chasing a dream that seemed elusive, refusing to settle for anything less. Although I passed JAMB, my WAEC result was not enough. My years of hating Mathematics finally bite me in the ass. I had to re-sit WAEC but Maths was determined to shame me. When I finally was able to pass mathematics, I failed the other subjects I needed ( I guess fate does have a sense of humour)Seeing my dilemma, my brother advised me to attend Olabisi Onabanjo University but I blatantly refused. How can I, a whole me attend a university situated not far from home? I eventually decided to attend Moshood Abiola Polytechnic with the hope of transitioning to the university through direct entry. Right now I can picture fate laughing its ass off at my endeavours. Fate does have a way of humbling us. After graduating from the polytechnic, I wasted another 3 years at home before I finally decided to attend the university I was so sure I would never attend in 2017. The sense of accomplishment was short-lived, as the journey ahead proved to be just as challenging. Four years of hard work and dedication culminated in my graduation in 2022. I felt proud, but the harsh reality soon set in - finding a job was like searching for a needle in a haystack.Despite my best efforts, rejection letters and unreturned calls became the norm. Every application I filled out had a certain age limit. It seemed as though the universe was testing my resolve once again. But I refused to give up. I realized that as a young Nigerian with no connection, no inheritance, and no rich parent I would have to think of an unconventional way to escape the clutches of poverty threatening to choke the life out of me.Amid the uncertainty, I stumbled upon a glimmer of hope - the world of digital skills. I began to learn, to adapt, and to evolve. The more I learned, the more I realized that this was my chance to forge a new path, to create my opportunities. As I sit here today, reflecting on my journey, I have realised that success is not a destination, but a journey. The winding road I've traveled has shaped me into a stronger, wiser, and more resilient individual. I may not have arrived at my desired destination yet, but I know that with each step forward, I am closer to realizing my dreams. The decisions we make as teenagers may shape our future, but it's the lessons we learn along the way that truly define us.In the end, it's not the years we waste that define us, but the courage we find to start anew. And so, I press on, armed with the knowledge that the light at the end of the tunnel is not just a cliché, but a beacon guiding me towards a brighter tomorrow.

Career pivots can be daunting but rewarding. Here's how to make it work ... #LinkedInNewsUK The key to success in my experience is to discover what you are good at and knock on enough doors until you find an organisation willing to pay you to do it - whatever that is! I was always interested in art, design and sociology and when I was studying architecture heard about the cultural traditions of Japan. I raised funds to visit the country and then published articles which in turn led to me following a career studying how people move from rural areas to urban centres and how they cope with the challenges they face. I applied successfully for research funding, was offered academic opportunities and also a series of consultancy assignments for many international development agencies to assess local situations and offer suggestions for policy and project design. Consider how you want to spend your time over the coming years. Money is important, but should not be the driving force - it should be a means to a greater end, not an end in itself. What matters most is how you spend your time and what you do with it.

GROWING INTO YOUR DREAMS Give yourself the time and space to really dream, no limits, no judgment. Get clear on what you’re truly passionate about .If you aren’t doing it for yourself, if your heart really isn’t in it, you may find yourself in a critical make-it-or-break-it moment doing more breaking than making. Genuine passion is what will help you find a little more to give even when you think you have nothing left. It’s fuel, and there will be moments throughout your journey when you're going to need it.Once you know what you want, jump feet-first into action, starting with creating a concrete plan. The initial plan doesn’t have to be perfect (trust me, it will change many times), but it has to be solid enough that you know your north star and the main steps required to get there. The good news though is that you don’t have to formulate the plan all on your own. There are many fantastic books on how successful people brought their ideas to life . Like anything worth doing, it takes work, but if you’re on the right path, it shouldn’t feel like a chore. Cultivating a hunger to absorb, learn and grow as much as you possibly can is how you keep feeding your passion so you can see it through to actualization.##opentowork #motivationquote#DIPLOMA IN CRIMINOLOGY AND SOCIAL ORDER #University of Nairobi #Year2023 #+254712819572#

🌍✨ Sometimes, the most important lessons are the ones we never learn in a classroom. Today, I stumbled upon a heart-wrenching image that speaks volumes. This picture serves as a powerful reminder of the untold wealth we stand upon - the wealth that lies beneath our feet, in the rich soil of our motherland, in the untapped resources, and in the unexplored potential of our people in all of Africa 🌍 For too long, our education has steered us towards a promise of wealth beyond life, a celestial inheritance that keeps our eyes fixed on the sky. But what about the prosperity we can create here and now, on Earth? What about the legacy we can build for our children and the generations to follow? It's time we shift our gaze from the heavens and start investing in the ground beneath us. The real treasure is right here, waiting to be nurtured by our own hands. Let's educate our youth about the true wealth that awaits them, not just in the afterlife, but in the very land they walk upon. The potential for greatness lies not in waiting for external saviors but in recognizing and harnessing the power we already possess. Let's come together to unlock the wealth under our feet, because the future doesn't just belong in the stars - it begins with the soil we stand on. 🌱💔🌟#UntappedPotential #WealthUnderOurFeet #InvestInAfrica #RealWealth #EducationRevolution #Empowerment

In Nigeria and Africa, the parental system often prioritizes academic achievement over individuality and creativity. Parents seek to boost their social status by bragging about their children's grades and achievements, rather than nurturing their unique talents and interests. This pressure to excel academically stems from a desire to outdo others, rather than supporting children's natural abilities. Many parents, especially those who feel they missed out on opportunities, dictate their children's career choices based on their own regrets. However, this approach is unfair and risks wasting potential. Every child has their own strengths, goals, and aspirations. By forcing them into predetermined paths, we risk creating a generation of unfulfilled individuals.Academic excellence is not the only measure of success. Many individuals with average degrees have excelled in various fields, while others with exceptional talents have been stifled by conventional thinking. Imagine a music lover forced into the engineering field!Parents, it's essential to recognize and support your children's natural talents and passions. Success comes in many forms, and some of the world's most successful individuals are dropouts who dared to pursue their dreams.Let's not judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree; it would forever believe it is stupid. Instead, let's create an environment that allows individuals to reach their full natural greatness. Let's guide them towards their natural talents and interests, and watch them fulfill their potential #EmpoweringChildren #SupportNaturalTalents #SuccessComesInManyForm #EncourageIndividuality #CreativityOverConformity #NurtureUniqueAbilities

Ever find yourself stuck in a waiting room called life?Do you just sit there, twiddling your thumbs and hoping for the best? Or do you arm yourself for what's to come? ⚔️I recount that after I wrote my B.E.C.E exams which are the final exams taken at Junior High level to enter into the senior High School in Ghana, my dad wouldn't let me idle around so he enrolled me into a computer training school to take a program in Microsoft Office in wait for the results to further my education. That's a fantastic 👍 move, one will say, but I wasn't excited. "Can you imagine after all the hard work I put into my studies to write the exams and I can't even breathe..." were my thoughts. Little did I know that, it was my fallow period and I was being prepared for the next season of cultivation. We all know level 100 'wahala' in Ghana, type assignment, we are doing a presentation...etc. I didn't struggle with any because I had already been introduced to the use of Microsoft Office tools in making such tasks easy to perform. That's when it clicked. Waiting isn't wasted time. It's preparation time. So, the question remains: What do you do when you're in the waiting room of life? Do you twiddle your thumbs and hope for the best? Or do you transform that limbo into an opportunity to grow?Imagine ten years pass, your expectations still unfulfilled. Wouldn't stagnation leave you rusty, your potential untapped? Don't let your waiting period become a wasted chapter. Fuel your growth!
